The city of Varanasi is situated along the west bank of the Ganges in the north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Called Benaras by the British, Varanasi is an important pilgrimage centre for the Hindus. The city finds mention in the great epics of Mahabharata and Ramayana. It was a flourishing trade center when Buddha came to Sarnath, about 10 kilometres away, to preach his first sermon in 500 BC. The renowned American novelist Mark Twain once wrote, ”Benaras is older than history, older than tradition, older even than legend and looks twice as old as all of them put together.” Right from the ancient times, Varanasi has stood as a symbol of Hindu renaissance and preserved the rituals and traditions of Hindu philosophy. In time transfer to airport to board flight for Dharamsala, On arrival transfer to Hotel and assist with check in Hotel. Dharamsala, one of the best hill stations in India is divided into lower and upper towns with a difference of 457m(1500ft.) between them. The mountains enfold 3 sides of the town and the valley stretches to the south. Dharamsala is known for its scenic beauty, calmness and serenity. It has high pine trees, tea gardens and timber yielding trees. Dharamsala is now the seat of His Holiness, the Dalai Lama. After the Chinese conquest of his country, Dharamsala is evocative of the imperial days in places like Mcleod Ganj and Forsythe Ganj. Night stay in Dharamsala.

After breakfast city tour visiting Kangra Art Museum , a gallery of Kangra’s famous miniature paintings and a representative collection of sculptures, pottery and anthropological items. War Memorial - full of landscaped lawns and a web of narrow paths fill a pine grove. St. Johns Church – a memorial has been erected over the body of the British Viceroy, Lord Elgin who died at Dharamsala in 1863. Also visit Mcleodganj - the residence of His Holiness Dalai Lama. Located in the state of Punjab, Amritsar is one of the most important pilgrimage centres especially for the Sikhs in the country. The city is characterised by some of the must visit religious, historical as well as contemporary sites of importance. The Golden Temple, where Sikhs from all over the world come to pay their reverence to Guru Granth Sahib and take a dip in the Amrit Saras Kund (Pool of Immortality) for spiritual purification is the major landmark of the place. After breakfast visiting Golden temple which is located in the heart of the city. The Jalianwallah Bagh which is a memorial of the martyrs of the 1919. The Durgiana Mandir that is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Durga , Baba Atal Rai Tower. Evening visit Wagha Border to watch Border Retreat Ceremony. Night stay in Amritsar.

In time transfer to railway station to board train for Haridwar. On arrival Visiting Temples of the city including Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi located on two different hills opposite each other,Daksh Mahadev Temple - The ancient temple of Daksha Mahadev. Evening visit Har-Ki-Pauri - These sacred ghats are named after the Charan or Footprints of Hari (Vishnu) impressed on a stone. Later depart by surface to Rishikesh, on arrival check in at Hotel. Night stay in Rishikesh.

After breakfast half day city tour visiting, Lakshman Jhoola – legend says this bridge was built by Lord Rama. Today, a concrete one, by the same name, has replaced the rope bridge. Ram Jhula is the other suspended ironbridge, recently constructed. Gita Bhawan - Founded in early 50s, Gita Bhavan is an ashram that runs an ayurvedic dispensary and has a branch of the famous Gita press, Gorakhpur. Triventi Ghat - The Arati on the Triveni Ghat makes for an unforgettable experience. Night stay in Rishikesh.

In time transfer to Dehradun airport to board connecting flight for onward destination.
