After breakfast city tour visiting, Gangtey Monastery is perched on a small hill that rises from the valley floor. The Monastery is surrounded by a large village inhabited mainly by the families of the 140 Gomchens who take care of the Monastery. Visit the Black Necked Crane Information Centre, situated on the edge of the forest and wetland along the main road of Phobjikha valley, the black-necked crane information Centre has an observation room equipped with high power telescope and spotting scopes for catching the best view of the cranes. After breakfast city tour visiting, Jakar Dzong Founded by Drukpa Iam Bgagi Wangchuck in 1549, the ‘fortress of the white bird’ nests on top of a hill. Kunzangdra Monastery situated at a height of 11,000 feet, this monastery was found in 1488 by the Pemalingpa. It is situated opposite one of Guru Rinpoche’s meditation spots. Lamey Gompa This is your destination if you prefer solitude above everything else. Formerly a royal monastery, Lamey Gompa is currently a forestry office and is at a walking distance from Choekar town. Night stay in Bumthang.
